How do I turn monitoring on or off for a location?
Monitoring controls whether SuperLedger runs AI analysis, gap detection, and alerts for a location. On the Locations list, click the Monitoring pill on a row to switch it between On and Muted. You can also open a location and use its Monitoring tab for finer control — muting per feature (Voice or Chat) or per agent. Muting pauses AI processing and its cost; your calls and chats are always still ingested and stored.
Before you start:
- Admin or owner role (Viewers can see monitoring status but can't change it).
Steps
Quick toggle from the Locations list
- Go to Locations in the sidebar.
- On the location's row, click the Monitoring pill — it shows On or Muted. 📷 Screenshot coming soonLocations row with the On/Muted monitoring pill
- Muting asks you to confirm; switching back On applies right away.
Fine-grained control on the location
- Open a location and select the Monitoring tab.
- Use the master switch Monitor this location, or toggle individual Voice and Chat features and individual agents. 📷 Screenshot coming soonlocation Monitoring tab with master switch and per-feature cards
What happens next
- On — alerts, gap analysis, and AI processing run for the location.
- Muted — no alerts, gap analysis, or AI analysis run, and AI analysis spend is paused. Calls and chats are still ingested and stored, so you keep full records and can turn monitoring back on whenever you like.
A muted location shows a Muted (or Partially muted) status, and its location detail shows a Monitoring muted indicator.
How it works
Muting is recorded with who muted it, when, and an optional reason, so there's an audit trail of monitoring changes. This is different from excluding a location: excluding hides it from reports, while muting only pauses AI work and alerts. To change whether a location appears in reports or ingests data at all, see How do I choose which locations are tracked?.
